Membership in the C4CY Kenya Alliance is voluntary and unites those committed to creating urban spaces where children and youth can thrive. Together, we amplify their voices and promote inclusive urban governance that respects their rights.
Children and youth are often excluded from urban planning across Kenya. The Cities4Children Kenya (C4CY Kenya) Alliance brings together local, national, and international institutions committed to building inclusive, child- and youth-friendly cities.
Through a strong multi-sectoral network, the Alliance promotes inclusive urban governance, protects children’s and youth rights, and strengthens their participation in development and decision-making. Together, members drive collective action toward equitable and sustainable urban development for Kenya’s rapidly growing urban population.
The C4CY Kenya Alliance is dedicated to creating lasting value for its members by strengthening their effectiveness and impact in advancing the urban agenda for children and youth.
Our membership value proposition is built around three core pillars:
We strengthen stakeholders’ skills and competencies to enhance their contribution to child- and youth-inclusive urban development.
We foster strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships among key urban actors to drive collective action.
We provide practical tools, resources, and technical assistance to enable members to advance children’s and youth rights in urban planning and development.
We collaborate with numerous children and youth forums across the country, supporting their capacity to engage meaningfully with decision-makers and understand their rights to participate in the urban agenda.
